| Day 1 (Wednesday, 12/5/01): Drove from Hampstead to Milton, Delaware to visit my Godmother, Audrey Kavanaugh. Beautiful weather. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel was neat. Audrey looks great. It was terrific to see her again. | |||

| DAY 2 (Thursday, 12/6/01): Drove from Milton, Delaware to Ramsey, NJ to work with Harry Barney, then on to Connecticut to visit Rachel and her family. Met my new grandson, Derek Joseph Faber. | |||

DAY 3 (Friday, 12/7/01): Visited Pat's brother, Mike Campbell, attended to graves in Stamford and visited Ann & Jimmy McAuliffe and Ralph Williams (Aunt, Uncle and cousin, I think) |

DAY 4 (Saturday, 12/8/01): Drove to World Trade Center site, then to Long Island to visit Wayne's grave, then to see my first grandson, Joseph, and Wayne's wife and Joseph's Mom, Roe Bouton. After that, we returned to Connecticut to have our early Christmas with all of them (Rachel, Joe, Evan, Derek, Chris, Roe, Joseph, Pat and me) |

| DAY 5 (Sunday, 12/9/01): Went shopping at Stew Leonard's before the Christening. The Christening was a beautiful service at a local church. After that we had a room to ourselves for a terrific meal at the Long Ridge Inn celebrating Derek's Christening. Following that, we returned with plants to the Stamford cemeteries. Then we returned to Hamptead, NC via Fayetteville. 1949 miles in all. | |||
